Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry Recipe

Ingredients
  

1 lb. flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

4 cups broccoli florets, washed and trimmed

3 tbsp soy sauce

2 tbsp oyster sauce

2 tbsp cornstarch, divided

1/4 cup beef broth or water

1 tbsp sesame oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1-inch piece fresh ginger, grated

2 tbsp vegetable oil, divided

1 tsp brown sugar

Salt and pepper, to taste

Optional: sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Slice the beef thinly against the grain and trim broccoli into bite-sized florets. Mince garlic and grate ginger. Mix sauce ingredients and set aside.
    Heat 1 tbsp oil in a wok over high heat. Add beef and sear 1-2 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
    Add remaining oil, stir-fry broccoli 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender. Add garlic and ginger for 30 seconds.
    Return beef to wok, pour in sauce, and toss 1-2 minutes until thickened and coated. Season with salt and pepper.
    Drizzle with sesame oil, garnish with sesame seeds, and serve over rice or noodles immediately.
