Best Paula Deen’s Pecan Pie

This pecan pie is rich, gooey, and pure Southern comfort. One bite and you will understand why everyone loves this classic dessert.

Ingredients
  

1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup light brown sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

3 large eggs, room temperature

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 cups pecan halves

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and place pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish.
    Toast pecans in the oven for 5 to 7 minutes and set aside to cool.
    In a large bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter.
    Add eggs one at a time, mixing gently, then stir in vanilla and salt.
    Fold toasted pecans into the filling.
    Pour mixture into the prepared pie crust and spread evenly.
    Bake for 50 to 60 minutes until the center is set with a slight jiggle.
    Cool completely on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
