Best Sticky Chicken Rice Bowl

This sticky chicken rice bowl is sweet, savory, and completely addictive. One pan, big flavor, and better than takeout.

Ingredients
  

1 lb chicken thighs or chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces

2 tablespoons olive oil

1/3 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup honey or brown sugar

2 tablespoons rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons water

3 cups cooked jasmine or basmati rice

2 green onions, sliced

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions
 

  • Cook rice according to package instructions and keep warm.
    Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and add chicken in a single layer.
    Cook chicken until golden and cooked through, then remove from the pan.
    Add garlic and ginger to the pan and sauté briefly until fragrant.
    Mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil, then pour into the pan.
    Stir in cornstarch mixed with water and simmer until thickened.
    Return chicken to the pan and toss until fully coated.
    Serve sticky chicken over rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds
