Blackened Shrimp Stroganoff

Creamy, spicy, and full of bold Cajun flavor, this Blackened Shrimp Stroganoff is the cozy pasta dish you will crave again. It is the perfect mix of comfort and excitement in one bowl.

Ingredients
  

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tbsp blackening seasoning

12 oz egg noodles

2 tbsp unsalted butter

1 tbsp olive oil

1 small onion, finely diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup sour cream

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 cup sliced mushrooms

½ tsp smoked paprika

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Optional red pepper flakes

Instructions
 

  • Cook egg noodles in salted water until tender then drain.
    Season shrimp with blackening seasoning and sear in butter and oil for 1 to 2 minutes per side.
    Sauté onions and mushrooms then add garlic.
    Deglaze with chicken broth and add cream, Worcestershire, paprika, salt, and pepper.
    Reduce heat and stir in sour cream.
    Add noodles and toss to coat.
    Return shrimp to the pan and warm through.
    Garnish with parsley and serve.
