Cabbage Carbonara (Creamy Low-Carb Comfort Food Recipe)

Turn simple cabbage into a creamy, bacon-packed comfort dish that feels indulgent but stays low carb. This easy carbonara-style recipe is perfect for quick dinners that still impress.

Ingredients
  

1 medium green cabbage (about 2 lbs or 900 g)

7 oz bacon, chopped

3 large eggs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp olive oil

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Slice cabbage into thin strips and set aside. Whisk eggs, Parmesan, and black pepper in a bowl.
    Cook chopped bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
    Add garlic to the skillet and sauté briefly until fragrant.
    Add cabbage and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until tender but slightly crisp.
    Return bacon to the pan and mix well.
    Turn off heat and pour in egg mixture, tossing quickly to create a creamy sauce.
    Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
