2 cups water

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 teaspoon fresh turmeric, grated or ½ teaspoon ground turmeric

1 tablespoon honey (optional)

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 pinch black pepper

Optional cinnamon stick or pinch of ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Bring water to a gentle boil in a saucepan.
    Add grated ginger, turmeric, and black pepper.
    Reduce heat and let the mixture simmer for 10 to 12 minutes.
