Peppermint Bark Recipe

Peppermint bark just got easier. Make this festive chocolate treat at home for a holiday gift everyone actually wants.

Ingredients
  

12 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped

12 oz white chocolate, chopped

1 tsp peppermint extract

1 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes

1 tbsp vegetable oil (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    Melt semi-sweet chocolate until smooth. Stir in half of the peppermint extract and optional oil. Spread onto the sheet.
    Let the layer partially set until tacky.
    Melt white chocolate and stir in remaining peppermint extract.
    Pour white chocolate over the dark layer and spread gently.
    Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies on top and press lightly.
    Let the bark cool completely, then break into pieces and enjoy.

  • Use real chocolate, not chips
  • Store cool room temp up to 1 month
