Sesame Chicken Recipe

Crispy chicken bites coated in a sweet and nutty sesame glaze make every meal feel like a restaurant feast. This Sesame Chicken Recipe is fast, easy, and packed with flavor.

Ingredients
  

1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces

2 tbsp soy sauce (for marinating)

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp ground ginger

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/2 cup cornstarch for coating

2 large eggs, beaten

3 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)

1/4 cup soy sauce (for sauce)

3 tbsp honey or brown sugar

2 tbsp rice vinegar

1 tbsp sesame oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp grated fresh ginger

1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (slurry)

2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

2 green onions, sliced for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Marinate chicken with soy sauce, garlic powder, ginger, and black pepper for 15–20 minutes.
    Dip chicken in beaten eggs, then coat with cornstarch.
    Fry chicken in small batches over medium-high heat for 4–5 minutes per side until golden.
    In a separate pan, simmer soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Stir in cornstarch slurry to thicken.
    Toss fried chicken in the sauce, then sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions.
    Serve immediately over rice, noodles, or vegetables.
